In addition to the projects ‘clean energy’ benefits, HPC will create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.\nThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) will demonstrate the strongest direction of all activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of the major contracts assigned. Reporting directly to the Service Manager you will be accountable for ensuring delivery of all engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and handover activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule.\nThe APM will work closely with the Project/Service Manager and Utilities Delivery Leads to ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist and work under supervision on tasks required to support the Project Manager’s delivery of the project and contract scope for HPC.\n\nLiaise and interface with the other key teams within NNB on specific tasks which are required to support the principle task of delivery of the project and contract scope for HPC.\n\nHas an awareness to develop, implement and provide ongoing support towards the use of management systems which will support delivery and quality of the outputs from the Project Controls Department, including planning and document control processes.\n\nParticipate in providing support to the wider Team with regard to compliance with approved NNB procedures.\n\nParticipate in developing the relationships with key statutory stakeholders for the HPC project\n\nUnder supervision of the Project Manager the APM will project manage delivery of documents required to secure Project delivery including those required for ONR L4 meetings. This will include the overall Planning Schedule, as well as detailed schedules for associated technical work streams.\n\nEnsure that a full and auditable archive of project decisions is maintained to document the project evolution and history.\n\nEducation, Experience and Skills:\nExcellent written and oral presentation skills, able to communicate effectively and interact with senior managers.\n\nPeople management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and work collaboratively within complex, internal and external, multidisciplinary groups.\n\nAbility to display and communicate a logical thought process, with excellent analytical skills, including capabilities for budget analysis and forecasting.\n\nAbility to cope well under pressure and within tight timeframes.\n\nUndertake individual working to a high level of attention to detail.\n\nMay have (but not essential) a Degree or similar qualification in engineering, construction or related field.\n\nOur Culture\nOur values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
