The Baker will be responsible for preparing a variety of bakery products in accordance with standardized recipes while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation. This position supports daily food service operations by producing fresh baked goods, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with bakery operations to ensure efficient and consistent service.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPrepare breads, pastries, desserts, and other bakery products according to standardized recipes and established production schedules.\nEnsure all bakery items are consistently prepared to meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards.\nAccurately measure, weight, and adjust ingredients to ensure recipe consistency and product quality.\nMaintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nKeep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitized throughout each shift.\nRecord daily production quantities and food waste to support inventory control and operational reporting.\nComplete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and maintain required documentation.\nEnsure bakery production is completed to support the next shift and maintain uninterrupted food services operations.\nAssist with inventory management by properly storing ingredients and rotating stock using first in, first out practices.\nProvide direction and support to bakery staff in the absence of the head baker.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of one (1) year of baking experience in a full service, commercial, or institutional food service environment.\nCurrent ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification required.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow standardized recipes.\nStrong English communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. \nEmployees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce\nA valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
