The Bartender will be responsible for supporting MWR operations by\nproviding professional beverage service, maintaining a clean and safe bar environment,\nand delivering great customer service. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and\nnonalcoholic beverages, processes customer transactions, ensures compliance with all\nalcohol service regulations, and supports recreational activities and events.\nJob Responsibilities:\n· Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with\nestablished recipes and organizational standards.\n· Serve beer, wine, and mixed beverages while ensuring responsible alcohol service\npractices.\n· Verify patron age and identifi cation in accordance with applicable laws, installation\nregulations, and organizational policies.\n· Monitor alcohol consumption and take appropriate action to prevent intoxication,\nunderage drinking, and impaired driving.\n· Provide courteous professional and responsive customer service to all patrons.\n· Describe menu items and serve food in accordance with established service\nstandards, when applicable.\n· Prepare beverage garnishes and maintain an organized, fully stocked bar area.\n· Operate point of sale (POS) systems, cash registers, and accurately process cash,\ncredit card, and other payment transactions.\n· Maintain accountability for cash handling and reconcile transactions as required.\n· Clean and sanitize bar equipment, glassware, utensils, work areas, and service\nstations.\n· Maintain inventory levels and notify management of supply shortages.\n· Support MWR programs, special events, and recreational activities as assigned.\n· Follow all procedures, policies, sanitation standards, and safety requirements.\n· Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and\nlevel of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\n· High school diploma or equivalent.\n· Must meet the installation’s minimum legal age requirement (21 years of age) to\nserve alcoholic beverages.\n· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in bartending, food and beverage service,\nhospitality, recreation services, or a related customer service environment.\n· Working knowledge of alcohol service practices and applicable laws governing the\nsale and service of alcoholic beverages.\n· Experience operating point of sale (POS) systems and cash registers.\n· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform work in a fast paced environment.\n· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established ploicies\nand procedures.\n· Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.\n· Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\n· Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign\nEmployees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.\nClearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain\ncompliance throughout the duration of deployment.\n· Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.\n· Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n· Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United\nStates) environment with a multi-national workforce\n· A valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle. .\n· Previous MWR or military recreation experience.\n· CPR and First Aid Certifi cation.\n· Experience supporting recreational programs, social events, or community\nactivities.\n· Knowledge of Army food service sanitation and Preventive Medicine requirements.\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility\nfor continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Work\nschedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on\noperational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up\nto 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and\noutdoor environments.
