The Galley Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily food service operations within contracted Dining Facility environments. This position provides leadership, supervision, technical guidance, training, and quality assurance to food service personnel while ensuring all meals and services are delivered according to contract requirements, military standards, food safety regulations, and established quality standards.\nJob Responsibilities:\nProvide daily oversight and management of all DFAC food service operations, including food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and facility operations.\nSupervise and coordinate staffing, scheduling, and execution, of daily requirements.\nOversee preparation of large volume meals using various cooking methods while ensuring quality, consistency, and timely service.\nEnsure all food service operations are conducted in accordance with contract requirements, technical manuals, and applicable food service standards.\nMonitor daily operations to ensure compliance with established performance, safety, and quality expectations.\nProvide leadership and operational support to ensure successful DFAC mission execution.\nEnsure meals are prepared in accordance with applicable nutrition and health promotion standards, including:AR 40-25 Nutrition Standards and Education\nAR 600-60 Army Health Promotion\nPAM 600-24 Health Promotion\n\nOversee implementation and compliance of Food Safety and inspection Programs in accordance with:\nAR 40-656\nAR 40-657\nAR 40-660\nDOD Hazardous Food and Nonprescription Drug Recall System\nTB MED 263\nTB 530 Tri-Service Food Code\nProvide Supervision, technical guidance, and training to DFAC employees.\nMentor staff on proper food preparation techniques, sanitation procedures, safety requirements, and customer service expectations.\nAssist with planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational coordination.\nMaintain required documentation, reports, and records in accordance with contract and leadership requirements.\nRespond to changing priorities and operational demands while maintaining service standards.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar food service supervisory or management role, preferably supporting Navy or military food service operations.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience supervising food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and quality control activities.\nAbility to operate effectively in an office and administrative environment, including answering phones and utilizing standard office equipment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nKnowledge of workplace safety practices and proper handling of equipment and materials.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\nCountry visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. \nMust be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.\nA valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle.\nExperience managing operations with a multinational workforce.\nStrong customer service skills with experience supporting contract based operations.\nServSafe certification preferred\nExperience working in fast paced environments requiring flexibility, adaptability, and management of competing priorities.\nExperience supporting overseas deployments and government contracting requirements.\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
