As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst / Project Coordinator t o join the team!\nThe Business Analyst / Project Coordinator will:\nServe as the primary analyst between business stakeholders and the technical team, owning requirements from the first conversation through user acceptance\nIdentify the underlying business problem behind each request: ask probing questions, challenge assumptions, and separate the stated solution from the actual need\nLead requirements elicitation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process observation, and analysis of existing documents and data\nProduce complete Business Requirements Documents that include the problem statement, business objectives, current and future-state processes, business rules, exceptions and edge cases, assumptions, and measurable acceptance criteria\nTranslate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories that developers can build from without repeated clarification\nMap current and future-state processes, and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or AI\nMaintain traceability from business need through development and testing\nPlan and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including writing test scenarios, coordinating testers, and tracking defects to resolution\nUse AI tools to speed up analysis, documentation, and process discovery, and validate AI output for accuracy and completeness\nIn coordination with the IT Section Manager, support project execution for assigned efforts: track tasks, milestones, risks, and dependencies; facilitate status meetings; prepare status updates; and assess the impact of change requests\nQualifications\nTypically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related area and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.\nBachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience\nExperience as a Business Analyst on software development projects\nStrong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a track record of uncovering unstated needs and resolving conflicting requirements across stakeholders\nProven ability to write detailed BRDs, functional specifications, use cases, and user stories with acceptance criteria\nHands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) in business analysis work, such as drafting requirements, summarizing meetings, analyzing processes, or analyzing data\nProficiency in process modeling (BPMN, swimlane diagrams, flowcharts) using Visio or similar tools\nWorking knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies\nExperience with Smartsheet for project tracking and reporting\nExperience supporting project coordination across multiple concurrent efforts\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to management\nPreferences\nCBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA certification\nPMP, CAPM, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification\nExperience in aerospace, government contracting, or NASA/DoD environments\nFamiliarity with the software development lifecycle for .NET/web applications\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, or similar tools\nBasic SQL skills for data validation and analysis\nExperience with Power BI or similar reporting tools\nExperience identifying and implementing AI or automation use cases within business processes\nCompensation:\nSalary starts at $83,700.
