The entire section leverages agile and works to provide enhanced reporting and global searching capabilities to facilitate task management, cross-utilization, and address national intelligence priorities while protecting confidential data and sources.\nThe Cloud Developer is a part of a team that will lead large-scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications. The Cloud Developer is responsible for planning and leading the design and development of cloud architecture across multiple enclaves and implementing automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.\nThe Cloud Developer is also responsible to support architecting the migration of applications to the cloud and adoption of cloud capabilities by applying cloud knowledge.\nWork Schedule:\nTypically, Monday through Friday 8-hour days onsite. Flexibility within a 2-week pay period to reach 80 hours.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nResponsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS).\nAble to implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.\nAble to analyze applications and make recommendations across multiple areas that identify what platforms can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment.\nCapable of providing strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services.\nResponsible for developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, debugging cloud stacks, managing policies for the use of cloud services, requests for new technology, establishing a secure cloud environment, ensuring appropriate availability/uptime design. Works independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.\nPossesses and applies knowledge on multiple work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nMinimum of 7 years of experience collectively with the following: With major cloud service providers (i.e.: Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google) \nPerforming significant research and development efforts or managing programs requiring comprehensive and innovative technical solutions, development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or a comparable high availability environment \nDeploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Azure ARMs Templates \nImplementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments \nCreating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes \nEstablishing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for cloud resources \nOptimizing cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance \nTroubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance and availability \n\nSecurity Clearance Required: Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility\nMinimum Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or another related field.\nIn absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements\nMinimum Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience\nRequired Certifications: Cloud Practitioner Certification (or similar)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDevelopment Tools: Git source version control \nGoogle DevOps project management \nStatic Application Security Testing (SAST, e.g. SonarQube, Gitlab SAST) \nUnit and integration testing (e.g., xunit, nunit) \nAutomated testing \nEnd-to-end testing (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber) \n\nPlatforms: Attribute and role-based access control paradigms (ABAC/RBAC) \nWindows Service Fabric \nSplunk administration \nWindows and Linux server administration \n\nBusiness Analysis and Project Management:Agile Principles \nDevOps \n\nSplunk, JIRA, Confluence, Nessus\nStrong Excel experience\nExperience with major Cloud Services\nExperience implementing, reviewing, and providing recommendations on Cloud Security configurations\nExperience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux\nCloud Associate Level or above Certification(s)\nThis position is designated as a safety sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
