Responsibilities include starting, stopping, and monitoring compressors, dryers, receivers, and associated equipment to ensure reliable delivery of compressed air to supported systems and operations.\nThe operator conducts routine inspections, monitors system pressures and performance indicators, and records operational data in logs and reports. This role includes identifying abnormal conditions, responding to alarms, and notifying maintenance or supervisory personnel of system irregularities in accordance with established procedures.\nAdditional duties include performing housekeeping and preventive maintenance tasks, assisting with minor troubleshooting, supporting system testing, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational protocols. The Compressed Air Systems Operator supports continuous, mission-critical infrastructure operations in a remote, team-oriented environment.\nMinimum Requirements\n1-3 years of experience operating or supporting compressed air systems, industrial equipment, or utility systems\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nBasic knowledge of compressors, mechanical systems, and equipment monitoring\nAbility to read gauges, meters, and basic technical documentation\nWillingness to work rotating shifts or on-call schedules as required\nMust possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally\nEmployees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\n\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\n\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\n\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce\nExperience supporting Navy, DoD, or industrial utility operations\nFamiliarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures\nStrong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.\nValid country driver’s license\n\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
