We are happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns, and locations to suit you and our business.\nThe selected candidate will be employed by Amentum Clean Energy Poland, part of Amentum.\nAbout the Opportunity\nThe Client-Side Construction Manager represents the Owner and is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and assuring all construction activities performed by the EPC contractor and subcontractors. This role ensures that the project is executed in accordance with the Client’s requirements, nuclear safety expectations, Polish regulatory obligations, and international best practices.\nThe role would head up a significant Client Team would serve as the Client’s primary on site representative, coordinating with engineering, licensing, procurement, and executive leadership.\nYou would be accountable for:\nOwner’s Oversight - Monitoring of EPC contractor performance, ensuring adherence to contract obligations, technical specifications, and nuclear safety requirements.\nDevelop, manage, and implement a workforce plan based on programme demand and supply through consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders.\nDevelop/support development of oversight procedures and organisation (external resources of personnel included).\nRegulatory Interface - Coordination with Polish nuclear regulators (PAA), environmental authorities, and local agencies to ensure compliance.\nQuality Assurance Governance - Support implementation of the Client’s QA/QC oversight program; review inspection results, audits, and non conformance reports; ensure corrective actions are effective.\nRisk & Issue Management - Identification of schedule, cost, and technical risks; escalate critical issues; lead mitigation planning on behalf of the Client.\nSchedule & Progress Assurance - Validation of contractor schedules, verify progress, and challenge deviations; ensure transparency and accuracy of reporting.\nContract Compliance - Monitoring of contractor adherence to EPC terms, change management processes, and performance metrics.\nSafety Culture Oversight - Ensure the contractor maintains a strong nuclear safety culture; intervene when unsafe conditions or behaviours are observed.\nReporting & Governance - Providing clear, evidence based reporting to the Client’s executive team on progress, risks, and compliance status.\nThis will be an on- site position, based in the Pomerania, Poland.\nRequirements\nNuclear Construction Knowledge and Experience:\nExperience in nuclear construction, preferably including GW scale plants. \nFamiliarity with nuclear construction requirements, including quality assurance, traceability, and safety standards. \nFamiliarity with nuclear island and conventional island construction processes. \n15-20 years of experience in nuclear new build projects or power projects with significant experience in nuclear or similarly regulated industries (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemicals). \nStrong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and execution methodologies \nStrong capability in identifying construction risks, implementing mitigation measures, and managing claims and contractual issues.\nClient-Side Project Leadership:\nProven leadership in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.\nExperience representing the Client/Owner on major infrastructure or nuclear projects.\nAbility to oversee EPC/EPCM contractors, subcontractors, and supply chains.\nRegulatory Expertise:\nUnderstanding of nuclear licensing, permitting, and construction regulations. \nExperience working with nuclear regulators and participating in inspections, audits, and licensing-related construction activities.\nTechnical Competence:\nBackground in civil, mechanical, or nuclear engineering. \nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.\nQuality:\nDeep understanding of nuclear QA/QC requirements (e.g., NQA-1, ISO standards)\nExperience ensuring full traceability of materials and construction activities\nFamiliarity with inspection and test plans (ITPs) and hold points\nHealth and Safety:\nDemonstrated commitment to the highest safety standards and nuclear safety culture.\nExperience implementing HSE management systems and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.\nCommunication - Skilled at managing complex relationships with contractors, regulators, and internal leadership.\nLanguage Requirements - Fluent English proficiency.\nWe Offer\nInternational working environment and unique company culture fostering individual career growth and work-life balance\nPersonal development opportunities and training in industry-leading tools\nFriendly and supportive team atmosphere \nParticipation in global projects and process improvements\nFull-time employment contract with competitive salary\nBenefits package including medical care, life insurance, My Benefit cafeteria with co-financing for sports activities, employee wellbeing support program\nOur Commitment to Inclusion\nWe know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected - and if we are diverse, we’re more creative.
