We embrace challenges with confidence and are dedicated to creating a secure and vibrant future for all.\nWe’ll inspire and empower you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow.\nWe are currently looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team based in Birchwood Park, Warrington.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer with solid PLC experience who wants to move beyond routine work and take ownership of real engineering challenges.\nThis is a mid-level role (typically 3-7 years’ experience), ideal for someone ready to step up-broadening their technical exposure across multiple platforms and progressing toward a Senior Engineer position.\nYou’ll work across the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning, on complex, safety-critical systems.\nWhy This Role?\nWork on complex, safety-critical systems-not repetitive maintenance work\n\nGain hands-on experience across multiple PLC platforms (not siloed into one vendor)\n\nBe involved end-to-end-from initial design through to live commissioning\n\nClear and supported progression path to Senior Engineer\n\nLearn from experienced engineers in a technically strong team\n\n What You’ll Be Doing\nDesign and develop PLC software using platforms such as:\nRockwell (Studio 5000)\n\nSiemens (TIA Portal)\n\nSchneider (EcoStruxure)\n\nand/or\nDevelop and configure HMI / SCADA systems\nRockwell FactoryTalk View (ME/SE)\n\nSchneider AVEVA / Citect / Vijeo Designer\n\nSiemens WinCC / Flex\n\nIntouch Wonderware or similar\n\nSupport full project delivery:\nConcept and detailed design\n\nSystem build, development and integration\n\nTesting. Both Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) & Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT)\n\nSupport Site Installation, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) & Commissioning\n\nContribute to system validation, testing, and troubleshooting activities\nProduce high-quality technical documentation (design specs, test docs, user manuals)\nWork closely with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, project delivery)\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEssential:\nDegree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n\nExperience with PLC or SCADA programming in industrial environments\n\nFamiliarity with IEC 61131 programming languages\n\nExperience supporting testing, commissioning, or system integration\n\nStrong problem-solving and fault-finding skills\n\nAbility to work collaboratively within project teams\n\nDesirable:\nExperience with Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider PLC platforms\n\nExperience with SCADA / HMI systems\n\nBackground in regulated industries (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, pharma)\n\nInterest in developing multi-platform expertise\n\nOur Culture\nOur values are built on a strong foundation of safety, integrity, and respect for every individual.
