You’ll thrive here if you enjoy solving problems, taking ownership and helping project teams make informed decisions. This role requires the successful candidate to be in the office in Birchwood 2 days per week.\nYou'll have strong Excel skills, confident communication, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels are essential. If you’re someone who likes to get into the detail, spot issues early and create clarity from complexity, you’ll fit right in.\nYou will support Project Managers in delivering projects on time and within budget through rigorous attention to detail and the application of Amentum’s project controls processes and best-practice techniques.\nCore Project Controls:\nApplying project controls processes and systems\n\nProject set-up, close-out and reconciliations\n\nEnsuring accurate cost allocation\n\nCost forecasting and financial analysis\n\nMonitoring revenue and gross margin\n\nEnsuring corporate systems accurately reflect project status\n\nMonitoring aged debt and supporting recovery\n\nPreparing client-specific monthly reports\n\nProducing internal reporting for Operational Project Reviews\n\nContributing to and/or attending monthly project meetings\n\nSupporting bids and proposals\n\nSupporting Project/Programme Managers with:\nEarned value analysis\n\nRisk and opportunity management\n\nProgramme and resource monitoring\n\nPreparing change control and early warning notices\n\nMaintaining quality documentation\n\nMonitoring key performance indicators\n\nHere’s What You’ll Need\nA positive, proactive can-do attitude, with the confidence to take ownership and solve problems\n\nHigh confidence using Excel - including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation and the ability to analyse data and present it clearly\n\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with project teams and clients\n\nBe organised, reliable and comfortable managing multiple priorities\n\nExperience in a similar project controls, cost engineering or financial role\n\nStrong mathematical background and high numerical accuracy\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment\n\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel\n\nExperience with project controls tools and software\n\nOur Culture\nOur values are built on a strong foundation of safety, integrity, and respect for every individual.
