This position will report to the Disposal Yard Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.\nDUTIES:\nResponsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. \nComply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. \nProvide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. \nEnsures data accuracy and update of equipment inventory database. \nEnsure that related data related to activities meet the requirements. \nProcess excess documentation for all controlled and non-controlled excess equipment and materials. \nReview, reconcile, adjust and process all inventory transactions. \nProcess and coordinate Equipment Transfers. \nAssist in a broad scope of direct and indirect support activities involving customer owned \nequipment as necessary to complete assigned tasks.\nConduct daily inspections of assigned equipment and immediately report defects or maintenance requirements.\nAssist with scrap metal processing and preparation for disposal or recycling.\nAssist in contingency waste removal operations during emergencies, special events, or increased operational requirements.\nPerform additional duties and projects assigned. \nREQUIRED:\nMinimum Acceptable Experience Level: Minimum 4 or more years’ experience handling waste management and disposal activity.\nPrevious experience in waste management, sanitation, logistics, construction support, or material handling preferred.\nAbility to operate or learn Disposal collection equipment and material handling equipment.\nAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nPrior proven experience in Property Disposal operations with Defense Reutilization \nExperience operating heavy equipment to include up to a 30K Forklift, Extended reach \nForklift, Material Handler, Grappler (Excavator), Front End Loader and Material Shredders. \nExperience with cutting torches to include Plasma cutters. \nCommitment to maintaining a high-performance team which delivers customer service excellence. \nKnowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract \nresponsibilities at an overseas facility. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. \nCross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective. \nExcellent organizational and time management skills. \nComputer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel. \nAbility to become an active and functioning member of a team. \nAbility to be innovative and be an agent for change. \nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.\nBasic recordkeeping and reporting skills.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 kg.\nStand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work for extended periods.\nOperate manual and powered equipment safely.\nWork in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments.\nWear required PPE, including safety boots, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and reflective clothing.\nWorking Conditions\nOutdoor and industrial work environment.\nExposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving equipment.\nMay be required to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or emergency callouts to support mission requirements.\nPerformance Expectations\nComplete disposal operations safely, efficiently, and on schedule.\nMaintain high standards of cleanliness throughout assigned work areas.\nEnsure waste is properly segregated and disposed of in accordance with environmental requirements.\nDemonstrate reliability, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork while supporting mission operations.\n Education: A high school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) Certifications or 4 years’ substitute experience in waste management and disposal services will be acceptable.\nValid Iraqi driver’s license (if operating company vehicles).\nSecurity Vetting: Already possess a RSO issued security clearance or be able to obtain a favorable RSO issued clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract. \nLanguage Skills: Satisfactory English and Arabic proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures. \nMedical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and drug examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and drug requirements for duration of deployment.\nDESIRED:\nPrevious out of home country experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions are a plus.\nExperience supporting Department of State.\nExperience working with Amentum.\nOTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of the principles and processes involved in Quality Control Management. \nSuccessful management of multiple sites in geographically dispersed locations. \nAbility to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports. \nExperience in effectively dealing with international and headquarters staff, and sensitivity to other cultures. \nExercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. \nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.\nWORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:\nThis position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors.
