Organize project team members to ensure communication and understanding of scope, timelines, assignments, and objectives. Participate in work as applicable. \nPerform on-going review of project status and escalate issues where necessary. Notify management team early of potential technical challenges, schedule delays, and budget overages or shortfalls.\nIdentify project risks and opportunities. Recommend and implement risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate. \nInterface with project staff and stakeholders to manage and assess change orders in each project, which may involve changes to project scope, cost, and schedule. \nAssist and/or lead detailed reviews of Request of Proposals (RFP). Assist and/or lead a team to develop technical elements, schedule, and price estimates for proposal submission. \nOversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reporting on project performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Interface with the customer providing inputs to technical presentations, telecoms, and formal reviews.\nMentor other project managers on best practices within the Project Operations Group (POG) and lead Community of Practice. \nCreate and lead new and/or modified POG processes, tools, procedures, and best practices and provides solutions to complex issues within the organization. \nChallenge organizational processes that do not contribute to value delivery, and illustrate better process alternatives. \nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications and Skills\nBachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) field.\n5+ years of experience in project management; engineering project management preferred\nExperience working with project management methodology such as Catalyst including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices\nExperience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors\nExperience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures \nExperience working with techniques and approaches related to architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.\nValid U.S. Driver’s License\nCompensation Details:\n$115,000 - $120,000 annuallyThe compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
