The position serves as a key technical resource and advisor to teams and technical disciplines within the Engineering functional area and the Program Site.\nResponsibilities Include:\nResponsible for the management, control, and maintenance of critical infrastructure configuration.\n\nIdentify, define and develop detailed requirements for facility infrastructure, equipment and system modification, replacement, upgrade and/or recapitalization.\n\nProvide technical support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse cabling equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.\n\nReview and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and systems, from general concepts through to detailed IFC designs.\n\nPlan, coordinate, administer and execute tasks in support of critical infrastructure configuration change\n\nProvide technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cycle management and costing.\n\nPerform technical studies, analyses, investigations and consultations.\n\nAbout You:\nBICSI or similar cabling design and install certification\n\nJourneyman Electrical License (desirable)\n\nAbility to obtain ACMA Open Cabling registration with endorsements - optical fiber, structured cable, coaxial\n\n3 years working within the Telecommunications environment\n\nProficient in the use of MS Office applications\n\nMust obtain White Card and Working at Heights\n\nExcellent communication skills\n\nStrong organizational time-management and attention to detail\n\nThe ability to work autonomously and within a team\n\nA strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship\n\nExperience installing structured cabling systems\n\nStrong technical aptitude and interest in emerging technologies\n\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nIt is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
