We are currently seeking an Environmental Manager to support our DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) in Morgantown WV or Pittsburgh, PA.\nJob Description\n(Duties & Responsibilities)\nThis will involve working closely with federal and contract; researchers, site technicians, engineers, and other ES&H professionals. The candidate must be energetic with good interpersonal and team-building skills and be able to function independently with moderate supervision.\nManage the Environmental Task at Albany, Oregon; Morgantown, WV; and Pittsburgh, PA. The Environmental Programs include: Air Quality, Water Quality, Chemical Management, and Non-Hazardous Waste, which include the management of environmental permits and plans, sampling, and inspections. Review and generate about 125 deliverables including regulatory submittals annually.\nManagement of the Albany Groundwater Program at Albany, Oregon\nReview and generate about 20 deliverables including groundwater reports, conceptual site model updates, and fate and transport modeling.\nCoordinate Albany Groundwater Meetings monthly and generate minutes. Manage employees by providing direction on technical duties, Amentum and DOE policies, and training. Hold weekly staff meetings and generate minutes. Manage the budgets of employees, subcontracts, materials/equipment, and training. Review and approve invoices. Generate monthly, weekly, and other status reports. Generate and submit Biweekly Regulatory Highlights. Coordinate bi-weekly Chemical Inventory Meetings. Support the generation of the NETL Annual Site Environmental Report. Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations, standards, and guidance. Review Directives, Policies, Procedures, Manuals, Operating Plans, etc. for accuracy and comment as necessary.\nPerform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.\nRequired Qualifications\nUS Citizen\nBachelor’s degree in the Environmental Field or related field; 15 years of job-related experience. Must be familiar with current regulations and requirements. Must have previous supervisory/management experience. Excellent analytical and communication skills; Must have a valid driver's license\nOther requirements\nMaster’s degree preferred\nProfessional Engineering License preferred.\nCompensation Details:\nMax of the range: $125,000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
