The Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining proper accounting for the entire program and creating and maintaining presentable Contract Funds Status Report documents for the Government's review, including delineating between planned and actual expenses with key Program Milestones in mind. The Financial Analyst will be required to have relevant experience in financial management and analysis, specifically in the Government Contracting accounting realm.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in developing, maintaining, and presenting financial reports, including financial planning and analysis, for internal and customer stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant cost centers (labor, travel, materials) and indirect cost applications for each is expected. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nMaintain financial records and accounting for all program expenditures.\nPrepare and maintain Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSRs) and other financial reports for Government review.\nMonitor planned versus actual expenditures and provide variance analysis.\nSupport budget planning, forecasting, and financial tracking throughout program execution.\nTrack labor, travel, material, and indirect costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.\nCoordinate with Program Management and Finance to support contract funding and cost management.\nPrepare financial reports and briefings for internal and Government stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with corporate financial policies and Government contract requirements.\nEnsures program costs are accurately collected by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate.\nPrepares and maintains monthly forecasts of program revenue, cost, profit and collections.\nPerforms monthly analysis and reporting of budget to actual revenue/cost/profit comparisons and identifies variance drivers.\nCreates quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs) and able to effectively communicate impacts to revenue/cost/profit.\nIndividual must be capable of forecasting cost information and predicting cost issues that need to be addressed with Program Managers and other Management as required. \nPerforms duties in support of Month End close Process, to include reconciliation of projects/accounts, review and analysis of monthly financial data, revenue entries and direct cost accruals.\nMonitors program funding status and provides reliable, timely notification of funding status and requirements.\nPrepares financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs such as weekly and monthly contract status reports (MCSRs).\nReviews, approves and submits invoices to customers.\nMonitors billing status, payment status and unbilled issues, and works to resolve issues in a timely manner to manage DSO.\nAttend and present at weekly contract financial meetings.\nEnsures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as FAR, other government regulations, GAAP, and CAS requirements. \nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nExperience with financial management and analysis supporting Government contracts.\nKnowledge of Government contract accounting principles and financial reporting.\nExperience preparing Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSRs) and other program financial documentation.\nUnderstanding of labor, travel, material, and indirect cost structures.\nDue to the nature of the work, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen.\nTeam player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nMulti-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAble to recognize and research issues and make recommendations/decisions based on that research.\nExperience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Sharepoint and PowerPoint. \nIntermediate knowledge of Excel and Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables.\nExperience in Deltek Costpoint.\nExperience in Cognos and Hyperion is a plus.\nExperience developing, maintaining, and presenting financial reports for internal and Government stakeholders.\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nTS/SCI with Poly\nMinimum Education:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in government contracting for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M).\nMinimum Years of Experience:\n3-5 years of experience.\nThis position is not designated as a safety-sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
