This role provides a professional service in the execution of technical repair and maintenance of all assigned facility fire alarm equipment. This includes elements of planning, organization, coordination, scheduling and resource management associated with the day-to-day maintenance of the facility's fire alarm systems.\nYou will primarily be responsible for the efficient and timely completion of fire system maintenance tasks, identification of deficiencies and repairs as required and operating within a small team of technicians, you will be expected to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the implementation of initiatives and technical advancement. This role will suit individuals that are able to think on their feet, respond to changes in assignments based on site needs and complete assigned tasks to a high standard whilst working closely with the Facilities Operations Team, other Facilities Maintainers and OASIS departments to enable reliable, consistent and effective maintenance and operation of facility systems.\nResponsibilities\nInspection, testing and maintenance of fire systems and associated infrastructure in accordance with applicable standards\nRepairs and installation of associated fire systems and infrastructure.\nProgramming of Notifier system\nWork with operational and maintenance personnel to coordinate life safety system impairments as required for repairs, maintenance and new installations.\nMaintain a complete and current working understanding of all relevant facilities infrastructure, equipment and systems.\nInspection of fire extinguishers\nInstructing and training of site incident response personnel in the operation of the life safety systems as it applies to their duties.\nAny other reasonable duties as requested.\nEssential Requirements\nNICET II or III - Fire Alarm Systems\nStrong understanding of Wothe rk Health Safety (WHS) Act, and EHS policies & procedures\nDemonstrated understanding and experience working within Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment\nStrong understanding and knowledge of technical terminology relating to Electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment\nStrong understanding of facilities equipment and functionality\nStrong understanding of facilities O&M requirements\nStrong understanding of equipment maintenance requirements (preventive, predictive, & corrective)\nDesirable Qualifications\nNICET I or II - Fire Special Hazards\nNICET I or II - Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems\nExperience with Notifier systems\nTrade qualification\nEnterprise Resource Planning experience. (SAP, Archibus etc.)\nMicrosoft Office Suite experience\nEXPERIENCE\n2 years’ experience in a similar role\nExperience with diverse range of fire systems and suppression equipment highly regarded\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nPersonnel are required to be medically fit to work and safely complete all physical tasks associated with the role in which they are employed. This includes but is not limited to being able to carry and control moderate to heavy loads and being able to safely traverse and access maintenance environments which may be uneven or cramped.\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT\nIt is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
