The Freight Traffic Specialist supports freight movement, coordination, and documentation activities in accordance with U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, and transportation logistics standards.\nJob Responsibilities:\nCoordinating inbound and outbound cargo movements, tracking shipments, and ensuring freight is processed efficiently through terminal and transportation systems.\nPrepares, reviews, and maintains shipping documentation, manifests, and tracking records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.\nThis role includes coordinating with freight terminals, air and surface transportation teams, and logistics personnel to support timely and secure cargo movement.\nAdditional duties include monitoring shipment status, resolving documentation or routing discrepancies, updating cargo tracking systems, and supporting inventory accountability.\nContributes to smooth logistics operations and mission readiness in a remote, fast-paced environment.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\n1-3 years of experience in freight coordination, traffic management, logistics support, or transportation operations\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nBasic knowledge of freight documentation, cargo tracking, and transportation processes\nProficiency with computer-based tracking systems and data entry\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nMust possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally\nPassport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce\nExperience supporting military, DoD, or government freight operations\nFamiliarity with air, sea, or surface transportation processes\nStrong communication, time management, and coordination skills\nValid country driver’s license\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
