Perform the work required in a timely manner and maintain adequate production to meet service schedules.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nInstalls, maintains, repairs, and inspect the following FSE Assets:\n\nFuel Operational Readiness Capability Equipment (FORCE)\n\nR-11 Refueling Units\n\nC-301 Refueling Units\n\nTactical Automated Service Station (TASS)\n\nPMU-27 Pumping Cart\n\n10K, 50K and 210K Fuel Bladder\n\n210K Berm Liner\n\nTest Set Flow\n\nCross Country Pipeline (CCP) Kits\n\nAdjusts/repair pumps, control valves, meters, strainers, filters, water separators, and all other elements of liquid fuel systems.\n\nMakes periodic inspections of fuel bladders, pumping units in compliance with applicable regulations, to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, gauges, and hoses.\n\nPerform 90- and 180-day inspections of FSE assets per regulations, AFI and Technical Orders\n\nInspect electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operating condition, grounding, and adjustment.\n\nRepairs, replaces, and adjusts malfunctioning equipment to restore operating conditions specified in regulations and repair manuals. F\n\nDisassembles, adjusts, aligns, calibrates gauges and meters, and perform hydrostatic hose testing.\n\nMaintain and monitor the Shelf-life program for all FSE parts (hoses, valves, seals and any other items or material that have a shelf-life requirement)\n\nPerform PMIs and function checks on all equipment to ensure that units are pumping and straining fuel IAW AFIs and Technical Orders.\n\nPerform inventory of RSPs and UTC FSE kits on a semi and annual basis or when directed\n\nPrep assets for shipment to offsite locations\n\nPerform Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs) such as Acceptance, Shipment, and Condition on assets arriving or being shipped from the site.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nTwo (2) to five (5) years of job-related experience\n\nMust be comfortable working in all weather conditions\n\nMust have experience in the installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and/or repair of fuel delivery systems\n\nMust be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment, including fuel trucks, forklifts, fuel pumps, hand tools, etc.\n\nMust be physically able to operate motor vehicles.\n\nAbility to read, speak and write English\n\nMust possess basic mathematical skills.\n\nMust be able to speak, read and write English.\n\nMust be authorized to work in host country.\n\nContract Requirements in accordance with Appendix J:\nCompleted Fuels Apprentice Course (J3ABR2F031 00AB), military service or commercial equivalent\n\nCompleted FORCE Course (J3AZR2F051 05AB) or 10 years’ experience\n\nGovernment will schedule attendance at FORCE Course within 12 months of employment, if necessary.\n\nCertification: National Petroleum Management Association Certified Petroleum Journeyman (CPJ) or equivalent certification is acceptable in place of fuels apprentice training.\n\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:\nShop environment in which mechanical equipment is operated, is loud and noisy, and some pieces of equipment have exposed moving components Must be able to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires the ability to climb, reach, and/or stretch arms, legs, or other parts of body to grasp objects.
