Please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com\n Responsibilities:\nMaintain current and future data center building systems and related equipment.\nManages reactive/corrective maintenance as it is reported and distributes to available technicians.\nLeads safety program for the worksite and maintains reporting associated with safety activities.\nAudits work performance for safety actions and quality of work, and provide coaching as needed.\nReviews new job requests to differentiate between in-scope and non-scope work and addresses accordingly.\nMaintains effective performance of individual employees and the worksite team.\nReviews and approves time reporting.\nCompiles, maintains, and presents various reports to Amentum management and client teams.\nEffectively communicates with the site management team and the customer to understand requirements, solve complex mechanical problems, and provide solutions to data center problems.\nDemonstrates ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. \nIdentifies and documents cost savings.\nCreates and modifies site operations procedures for equipment and recommends facilities reliability improvements.\nProvides instruction, mentors, and trains less skilled technicians as needed.\nPerforms preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nResponds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.\nRecommends activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.\nAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.\nUnderstands company policies and enforces safety regulations. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.\nOperates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.\nOperates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.\nMaintains a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.\nExhibits strong leadership skills, such as motivation, delegation, ownership, leading by example, well-developed organizational skills, excellent communication skills, etc.\nPromotes and adheres to the Amentum Safety Structure.\nOther duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor\nAssist with Root Cause Analysis.\nOther duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. \n\nMinimum Requirements: \n6 years’ experience performing mechanical maintenance in a data center or heavy industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.\n5+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree.\n3+ years of experience with master's degree. \nAbility to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.\nExperience in a supervisory or subcontract management capacity within a technical industrial or manufacturing environment.\nExperience in a leadership position demonstrating the ability to analyze Facilities Maintenance related problems (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Cranes and Hoists, etc.); then recognize and determine solutions (engineered or otherwise) for resolution. This includes but is not limited to; opportunities for improved asset reliability, improved quality results, safer work conditions, and lower maintenance cost, improved work plans to increase efficiency.\nMust be self-motivated and demonstrate the strong organizational/time management skills needed to be successful in this role. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of data center infrastructure.\nExperience performing hands-on maintenance and repair of mechanical building systems in data centers.\nAdditional Information:\nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check and substance abuse test.\nThis position may require a valid Driver’s License.\nThis position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.\nThis position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.\nPhysical Requirements:\nSome tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.\nSome tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.\nRequires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday.\nRequires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during workday.\nRequires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.\nRequires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.\nRequires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.\nRequires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.\nRequires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.\nDemonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.\nRequires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.\nRequires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.\nSpecial Requirements:\nWear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.\nCope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.\nExperience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production systems such as switchgear, MCC’s, and Capacitor banks.\nExperience working around chemicals, precision equipment and highly regulated materials and equipment.\nExperience trouble shooting complex electrical systems.\nExperience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components.\nExperience troubleshooting and repairing cranes and hoists.\nExperience utilizing measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, various type gauges, and calibers to set tolerances to OEM Specifications.\nOther Attributes:\nMust be willing to work overtime when required.\nMay be required to work holidays and weekends.\nWork schedules can change based on critical business needs.\nCompensation Details:\n$33.00 - $37.00The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
