Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to provide the most appropriate technical solution.\nSupport testing to qualify hardware systems for Range operations.\nPlan, conduct, and assist in the execution of engineering projects.\nCoordinate with technical support personnel for assigned projects.\nAnalyze, develop, recommend and implement approaches to meet requirements.\nEvaluate component suppliers and vendor capabilities.\nProvide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.\nAssist with problematic repairs of Line Replaceable Units (LRU’s).\nProvide engineering assistance to restore operational systems.\nSupport the Engineering team in managing and executing engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.\nProvide support for launch operations as required.\nRequired Skills:\nProficient in technical writing for development of technical reports, white papers and other technical support documentation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAptitude to learn new concepts and technologies rapidly.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nProficiency with Windows-based computer systems and the Microsoft Office suite.\nDedication to delivering quality work and achieving outstanding customer results.\nExcellent time management and organizational skills.\nMinimum Experience:\nA bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or similar field.\n3+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a related technical field.\nProficient with digital interface design to include familiarization with interface modules, cable/wire types and connector systems.\nFundamental knowledge of hardware systems integration and testing practices.\nProficient in reading, understanding, creating or modifying wire diagrams, schematics and mechanical drawings using CAD or other drawing packages.\nProficient in use of specialized test equipment including but not limited to VOMs, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.\nFamiliarization with computer systems including single-board (SBCs), servers, and workstations.\nFamiliarization with the Linux and Windows Operating systems.\nFlexibility to work occasional non-standard hours or weekends to support mission requirements.\nThough this position does not require frequent travel, the ability to travel is required.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).\nValid U.S. Driver’s License.\nDesirable Qualifications:\nExperience with Telemetry data receiving and processing hardware.\nExperience with Telemetry RF receiving components used in telemetry receiving antennas.\nExperience in the configuring of Ethernet switches and network protocols.\nFamiliarity with any aspect of the systems engineering lifecycle.\nFamiliarization with the Linux and Windows Operating systems.\nPrevious Range operations support experience.\nSalary and Other Compensation\nThe annual starting salary for this position is between $90,000 or $95,000 annually.
