For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com\nThe work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, various hours may be requiredbased on business demand.\nAs a HVAC Technician, you will be responsible fordaily support activities, including:\nProviding a level of expertisein performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to a wide variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment.\n\nEnsure optimaland continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoringmetering equipment and adjusting levelsas necessary.\n\nIdentifyingand correcting any safety-related issues and performing independent equipment evaluations to identifypotential equipment failures.\n\nOperating, maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment as needed.\n\nUtilizing the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.\n\nProvide a level of expertisein the efficient operation of all HVAC systems.\n\nRecharging refrigerant levels, checking for leaks, and ensuring the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.\n\nUtilizing strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.\n\nPerforming preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\n\nResponding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.\n\nPerforming the functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required.\n\nOperating various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.\n\nComplying withGood Laboratory Practices (GLP).\n\nMaintaining a strict schedule in order tobe successful in the assignment.\n\nPerforming other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.\n\nAs the HVAC Technician you will be expected to:\nWork in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.\n\nValue and respect employee authenticity and demonstratecultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.\n\nBalance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.\n\nTake initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible\n\nOther duties as assigned by management\n\nCommunication\nKnowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlookand SharePoint\n\nAbility to communicate clearly via phone\n\nAbility to work closely with customer during site emergencies.\n\nExcellent oral and written communications\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.\n\nAccurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.\n\nStrive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.\n\nMinimumRequirements\nHigh school diploma or demonstratedequivalent.\n\nEPA Universal Refrigeration License\n\nFive years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial and/or commercial environments or demonstratedequivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nAbility to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.\n\nAbility to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.\n\nAbility to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.\n\nAbility to obtain an appropriate driver'slicense issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.\n\nMust be able to obtain and maintainfacility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is requiredfor facility credentials/authorization at this work location.\n\nThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.\n\nSome physical/special requirementsinclude:\nRegularly lift to 50 lbs\n\nRegularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding\n\nRepetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement\n\nWalk extensively throughout the plant during shift\n\nWork at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions\n\nAbility to differentiate colors pertaining towire color-coding\n\nWear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.\n\nCope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.\n\nPreferred Requirements\nTechnical degree preferred.\n\nExperience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses\n\nAbility to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.\n\nExperience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.\n\nExperience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.\n\nExperience interpreting a variety of instructions furnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAmentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
