Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication. The position must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required.\nThis is a 2nd Shift Position\nResponsibilities:\nProviding a level of expertise in performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to a wide variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment.\nEnsure optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment and adjusting levels as necessary. \nIdentifying and correcting any safety-related issues and performing independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. \nOperating, maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment as needed. \nUtilizing the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment. \nProvide a level of expertise in the efficient operation of all HVAC systems. \nRecharging refrigerant levels, checking for leaks, and ensuring the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. \nUtilizing strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments. \nPerforming preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). \nResponding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards. \nPerforming the functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required. \nOperating various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. \nComplying with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). \nMaintaining a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment. \nPerforming other duties as assigned by Management or Lead. \nWork in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients. \nValue and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace. \nBalance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments. \nTake initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible \nAbility to utilize Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. \nAbility to communicate clearly via phone. \nAbility to work closely with customers during site emergencies. \nAccurately document electronic and paper cataloging systems to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel. \nStrive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge. \nOther duties as assigned by management. \nMinimum Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. \nThree years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial and/or commercial environments or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. \nAbility to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher. \nExcellent verbal and written communications. \nExcellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc. \nAbility to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators. \nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. \nAbility to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location. \nAbility to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. \nAbility to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. \nThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. \nPreferred Requirements:\nTechnical degree preferred. \nEPA Universal Refrigeration License or ability to obtain. \nExperience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses \nAbility to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. \nExperience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems. \nExperience performing vibration data collection and analysis and/or using ultrasound testing equipment for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring. \nExperience using a CMMS; Maximo experience is a plus. \nExperience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nPhysical Requirements:\nRegularly lift to 50 lbs \nRegularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding \nRepetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement \nWalk extensively throughout the plant during shift \nWork at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions \nAbility to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding \nWear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. \nCope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment. \nRequires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. \nRequires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents. \nRequires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations. \nRequires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations. \nDemonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. \nRequires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations. \nRequires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. \n\nOther Attributes:\nMust be willing to work overtime when required. \nMay be required to work holidays and weekends. \nCompensation Details:\n32.00-35.00The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
