Customers include not only the world’s major vehicle providers and other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), but also clients from the international motor sports community.\nWe are hiring a Hydraulic Facility Engineer to work in Dearborn, MI.\nDescription:\nDirect and manage the design, installation, and application of mechanical systems used in facility\nDirect and manage design and operations of hydraulic pump rooms\nSpecify, develop, design the facilities utility interfaces for test cell mechanical equipment used in support of testing\nSpecify and develop designs for central building process mechanical equipment\nWork in collaboration with customers, test engineers, and support staff\nPrepare mechanical system specifications and project timing plans\nDesign, modify, and adapt fluid systems used to control facility test stands condition in order to meet changing customer and product needs\nServe as technical resource for design, estimating, and scheduling of equipment install projects; Interact with AE firms, CCM partners, and equipment suppliers\nWork with skilled trades, other team members, technicians to install, modify, and commission new mechanical equipment\nAssure the accurate completion of new or modified systems documentation and drawings\nMINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering.\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite\nGood interpersonal, computer, oral and written skills. Strong technical leadership, organization, and teamwork\nDesired:\nTwo (2) year of related experience in engineering\nKnowledge of fuels, lubricants and heat transfer fluids\nWorking knowledge of industrial process piping systems, material compatibility and fittings\nExperience working with Skilled trades\nExperience in Plant or Facilities Engineering.\nFamiliar with welding, joining, and machine shop operations\nKnowledge of heat transfer, fluids, and mechanical systems modeling\nExperience with data acquisition and control systems\nExperience with MCXI, VXI, Visual Basic, C++, LabView, and Linux\nProficiency in CAD tools (like AutoCAD) and hydraulic models (like HEC-RAS, SWMM, or EPANET).\nStrong grasp of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and pipe network behavior.\nUnusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position\nLifting: Up to 50 lbs, 25%\nClimbing: 50%\nCrawling: 50%\nSpecial clothing/equipment (wearing): Safety glasses, slip resistant hardened toe shoes, gloves, long pants, short sleeve shirts, 100%\nUnusual physical requirements: Sitting (50%), Standing (50%), Bending (25%), Stooping (25%).
