To be successful, you must be able to rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of new products and processes.\nWork Schedule:\n5 Days (Mon - Fri); 8 hrs/Day; 40 hrs/wkly\nEssential Responsibilities:\nThe duties and responsibilities of the IT Fielding Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:\nPerform as senior-level contributor with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a secure, multi-platform operating environment.\nProvide support to a large and diverse customer base as a member of a complex team comprised of contractors and government personnel.\nAssist with integration of network and hardware infrastructure, including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, and management of the enterprise LAN/WAN.\nInternal Notes: Must have TS/SCI. Must have all appropriate certifications and years of experience.\nPerform installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of the following devices: KG-175 TACLANE encryption devices; Cisco routers; switches; VoIP phones and VTC devices; rack infrastructure; servers; UPS; and networked printers, scanners, digital senders, workstation computers, and all associated desktop peripherals.\nProvide Windows 10/11 desktop administration and end-user support, including operating system deployment and imaging via MECM, client application installation, roaming profiles, troubleshooting, and peripheral support.\nInstall, label, and organize interior STP CAT5/6 copper, fiber, and AV cabling to include cable management.\nReview mission scope-of-work requirements and technical design packages.\nPrepare and execute hardware deployment and site installation plans. Coordinate with customer project managers, administrative and technical program support staff, and customers. Mobilize and direct the installation team.\nUpdate and complete support tickets and post installation close-out operations. Close-out operations include submitting travel receipts and travel vouchers for reimbursement, submitting hand receipts and customer signed inventories to Logistics personnel, and updating site data with Site Design team members and Customer Project Managers.\nHave familiarity with modern technological developments and applications to assist in evaluation of new products and make recommendations for purchase.\nPerform site surveys to assess and document current and proposed site network configuration and architecture based on mission requirements, specifications, and customer needs. Create diagrams as needed for planning and documentation purposes.\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: The position requires a balanced schedule of standing and sitting (approximately 50/50) and the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must comply with all safety requirements such as wearing protective footwear as well as any other personal protective wear deemed necessary for a particular task.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): ·\nMust have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI\n4 years of relevant experience\nHands-on experience working within communications technology programs under the DoD or Intelligence Community environments\nFamiliarity with classified environments, compliance requirements, and secure communication standards\n Proven experience installing and integrating hardware components into network and telecommunications infrastructures\nAbility to configure and optimize hardware for optimal network performance and reliability\nMust have in-depth knowledge of PC and LAN communication hardware and architecture\nExperience in working within complex multi-protocol network environments\nSkilled in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in VTC systems\nMust have worked with a wide range of VTC hardware and software solutions across different vendors\nStrong Windows 10 desktop administration skills\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently\nAbility to maneuver in small spaces (under desks, server rooms, communications closets) while running cords and cables\nMust be able to work a 40-hour work week, normally Monday through Friday\nAbility to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last-minute requests for overtime if needed\nMust have a valid driver’s license\nFamiliarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, and Visio\nExceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.\nSecurity Clearance Required: Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI\nMinimum Education: High School Diploma\nMinimum Years of Experience: 4 years of relevant experience\nRequired Certifications: Must possess one of the following 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certifications:Level II certs include - CCNA Security, GISCP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCPLevel III certs include - CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH\nPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT related field4 - 8 years of relevant experienceITIL v4 CertificationServiceNow experienceExperience with installation and configuration of enterprise network and systems infrastructure devices, cabling, and operational best practicesUnderstanding of Active Directory, MECM, DHCP, DNS, Cisco IOS, SolarWinds, and Remedy\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
