To be successful, you must be able to rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of new products and processes.\nWork Schedule:\n5 Days (Mon - Fri); 8 hrs/Day; 40 hrs/wkly\nAbility to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last-minute requests for overtime if needed. \nAbility to travel up to 25% annually; CONUS (multi-day travel).\nEssential Responsibilities:\nThe duties and responsibilities of the IT Site Design Specialist include, but are not limited to the following:\nCollaborate effectively across a multidisciplinary team including engineers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and stakeholders to analyze requirements, designing scalable and secure network architectures aligned with Organizational goals and cybersecurity standards.\nContribute to the development and sustainment of infrastructure, systems, and data architecture by supporting both logical and physical design efforts, ensuring alignment between conceptual models and deployed environments while promoting consistency, scalability, and interoperability across enterprise systems and platforms.\nServe as a technical subject matter expert in producing high-fidelity network documentation using Microsoft Visio, translating complex operational and engineering requirements into clear, detailed visuals such as topology diagrams, rack elevations, and network boundary definitions while ensuring accuracy, standardization, and usability for design validation, implementation, and ongoing support\nConduct comprehensive physical and logical site surveys to assess and validate existing network infrastructure, identify gaps or discrepancies, and update legacy documentation to accurate “As-Built” status, ensuring current configurations are clearly documented and aligned with operational, engineering, and compliance requirements\nMaintain rigorous configuration control and governance over Enterprise Architecture artifacts by ensuring version accuracy, enforcing traceability across changes, and upholding standardized processes and compliance requirements to preserve integrity, accountability, and alignment with enterprise policies and objectives.\nDemonstrate a strong understanding of DoW IT infrastructure, on-premise hosting environments, and organizational structures to effectively align technical solutions with operational frameworks, support informed decision-making, and ensure network designs and integrations are compatible with existing enterprise capabilities and governance models.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nMust have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI \nMust have at least 5 years of relevant experience\nExperience in enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, development, integration, IT infrastructure, or network engineering. \nTechnical Tools: advanced expertise in Microsoft Visio, including the use of custom stencils, layers, and data-linked diagrams. \nInfrastructure Mastery: Working knowledge of DoW/DoW IT infrastructure environments, including networks, hosting environments, enterprise services, and operating within secure boundaries. \nCybersecurity Standards: Familiarity with DoW cybersecurity requirements, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST, Zero Trust principles, and secure system designs.\nData & System Modeling: Experience developing data and system reference models. \nExperience supporting DoW programs, including familiarity with DoW IT service delivery standards.\nFamiliarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, and Visio. \nExceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nMust have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI\nMinimum Education:\nAssociates or bachelor’s degree in IT related field\nMinimum Years of Experience:\n5 years of relevant experience\nRequired Certifications:\nMust possess one of the following 8140 IA Technical Level II or III baseline certifications:\nLevel II certs include - CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE\nLevel III certs include - CASP CE, CCNP, CISA, CISSP (or Associate)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nNetworking IT experience with on-premises environments \nFamiliarity with ServiceNow \nITIL 4 Foundation/Master\nThis position is notdesignated as a safety sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
