The position supports mission-critical Department of War (DoW) information systems and networks in a classified operational environment for warfighter experimentation. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support for servers, workstations, networks, applications, and communications infrastructure; troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues; implement configuration and security requirements; and work closely with government personnel, military users, cybersecurity teams, and other technical organizations to maintain reliable and secure IT services. Assigned to MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, the position directly supports the J83 Edge Theater Architecture (ETA) team and reports administratively to the Amentum Project Lead.\n\nEssential Responsibilities:\nAdminister, operate, monitor, and maintain DoD enterprise IT systems, networks, servers, and end-user computing environments.\nInstall, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and/or other operating systems and associated applications.\nSupport LAN/WAN, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, and enterprise services.\nDiagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network, and connectivity problems.\nPerform system configuration, account administration, access management, patching, backups, and system recovery.\nSupport cybersecurity requirements, vulnerability remediation, security configuration, auditing, and system hardening.\nMaintain technical documentation, system diagrams, standard operating procedures, configuration records, and troubleshooting guides.\nMonitor system performance and availability and identify potential operational or security issues.\nCoordinate with cybersecurity, network operations, service desk, systems engineering, and infrastructure teams.\nSupport implementation of approved technical solutions and changes in accordance with DoD policies and organizational procedures.\nProvide technical assistance to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel.\nParticipate in incident response, problem management, change management, and continuity-of-operations activities.\nProvide after-hours, on-call, exercise, or operational support when required by mission requirements.\nPerform other IT duties as assigned in support of US PACOM mission requirements.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.\n3+ years of professional IT experience in systems administration, network administration, infrastructure support, enterprise IT, or a related discipline.\nCurrent Security+, CCNA, CySA+, CASP+/SecurityX, CISSP, or other DoD 8140-recognized certification appropriate to the position. (Cyber.mil)\nDemonstrated experience supporting Windows and/or other operating systems.\nWorking knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.\nExperience with Active Directory and enterprise user/account administration.\nExperience troubleshooting hardware, software, operating-system, and network problems.\nAbility to document technical issues, solutions, configurations, and procedures clearly.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary technical team.\nAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.\nAbility to work in a controlled classified environment and comply with DoD security requirements.\nAbility to obtain and maintain any additional certifications or qualifications required for the assigned DoD 8140/DCWF work role.\nMust have an active Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility later during employment. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n5+ years of IT experience supporting DoW, Joint, military, intelligence, or other federal environments.\nExperience supporting classified networks or systems.\nExperience with DISA security technical implementation guidance (STIGs).\nExperience with vulnerability scanning, remediation, and cybersecurity compliance.\nExperience with VMware or other enterprise virtualization technologies.\nExperience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365/enterprise collaboration technologies.\nExperience with enterprise network equipment, including routers and switches.\nExperience with network monitoring and management tools.\nExperience with backup, disaster recovery, and continuity-of-operations systems.\nExperience supporting enterprise ticketing and IT service-management processes.\nExperience working with ServiceNow or comparable IT service-management platforms.\nExperience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.\nCurrent TS/SCI eligibility or access.\nPrior experience supporting a Combatant Command, Joint Staff, Service component, or other operational military headquarters is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with Joint, DoW, and US PACOM policies, procedures, and mission-support requirements.\nCompensation & Benefits\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $140K - $160K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)\nThis position includes a competitive benefits package.
