The incumbents for these 2 vacancies will be hired for one of the following two shifts:\n1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm\n2nd Shift 3:30pm-12midnight\nHiring hourly range target start: $16.00/hr. For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com\nDaily duties and responsibilities:\nCleans and maintains buildings/facilities.Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash.\nNotifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.\nEstablishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.\nComplies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.\nCleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. \nFollows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.\nUtilizes ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, blinds and select equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts light fixtures and ceiling vents.\nRemoves stains from surfaces such as carpet, drapes/shades, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.\nPrepares cleaning solutions per specifications.Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.\nCleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.\nGathers trash and empties in appropriate trash and recycling bins.\nWipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.\nCleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.\nKeeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.\nMonitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.\nDrives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to other facilities to clean, including vans, industrial trucks, golf carts, or industrial vacuum cleaners.\nProvides special cleaning and support during client events, as needed.\nPerforms miscellaneous duties as assigned.\nMinimum Requirements\n1 year of relevant experience in industrial or commercial cleaning.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility/security credentials/authorization.
