This position will support the development, integration, testing, and deployment of software for DoW weapons and sensor systems. The Software Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional systems and software engineering team supporting mission-critical applications and modernization efforts.\nSoftware Engineer Responsibilities Include:\nDevelop, integrate, test, and deploy software in C/C++, Java, and/or Python.\nSupport software requirements development, architecture, design, and testing.\nSupport modern weapon system software development, testing, and deployment activities.\nUtilize development and collaboration tools including Git, Jira, and static code analysis tools.\nApply modern software development practices, including Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps.\nCollaborate effectively within cross-functional teams consisting of industry and government personnel.\nCommunicate technical information effectively with engineering personnel, customers, senior managers, and program managers.\nWork independently and collaboratively to meet established program goals and schedules.\nSupport continuous improvement and professional development by expanding technical knowledge and capabilities.\nMinimum Requirements:\n0-10 years of relevant software development or engineering experience.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another applicable technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of the education requirement.\nFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologies.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills in support of scientific and engineering work.\nAbility to work independently and within established teams to meet schedule-driven requirements.\nMust have an active Secret security clearance. Note: U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with embedded systems, GNC algorithms, and High/Low/Medium Fidelity Simulators.\nOne (1) or more years of experience with Surface Combat Systems or DoW weapons system sustainment.\nExperience sustaining software systems on surface ships and/or subsurface boats.\nSystems engineering experience supporting the development and integration of software systems on surface ships and/or subsurface platforms.\nCompensation Details:\n$110,000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
