This essential duty has zero room for error as it affects flight safety.\n\nPrepares up to 14 load plans per shift and sends completed flight packets to the airfield prior to scheduled load time.\n\nCompletes hazardous cargo notifications for aircrews and secures and documents hazardous cargo passenger deviations and waivers, asrequired.\n\nWorks with little supervision and isrequiredto act in a supervisory role, tasking cargo personnel with priorities for pallet building.\n\nDemonstrates impeccable and professional communication skills working with various departments and agencies, including the USAF, NYANG, Fixed Wing Coordinators, on-site National Science Foundation (NSF) representatives, Kenn Borek Air (KBA), USAP Cargo, and Christchurch cargo yard personnel.\n\nManages all data entry into MAXIMOregardingpallet building, mission reports, and receipt and delivery of inbound cargo.\n\nPrioritizes the movement of cargo to the airfield and destination using published daily Flight Schedule, ensuring all cargo is staged for on-time loading.\n\nProvides administrative support for ATO Manager and MCC Supervisor, as needed.\n\nCoordinates daily with Fixed Wing Coordinator and/or Cargo Coordinator(s) to plan on-continent flights\n\nCollaborates with USAP Cargo staff, Fixed Wing Coordinator, USAF Joint Inspector and NYANG personnel to overcome any transportation,cargoor hazardous material problems.\n\nAssumes supervisory responsibility in the absence of the ATO Shift Supervisor.\n\nMaintains a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.\n\nPerforms other duties asrequired.\n\nRequired Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:\nHigh School diploma orGED\n\nA minimum of three years’ experience in administrative support.\n\nAirlift Mobility Command (AMC) Load Planner Certification must beattainedprior to deployment; training is provided if current certification is not alreadyheld.\n\nExpected Skills and Competencies:\nProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\n\nPreferred:\nOne year experience in air cargo operations.\n\nKnowledge ofaircraftload planning and regulations governing transportation of hazardous materials; militaryaircraftknowledge is desired.\n\nFamiliarity with automated data processing systems such as MAXIMO and ICODES.\n\nPhysical and/or Other Requirements:\nWillingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods\n\nSuccessful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica\n\nSuccessful completion of drug screening and background check required by employer\n\nSuccessful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF\n\nMust be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum as required by the position.\n\nMust be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.\n\nMustparticipatein community programs, such as “house-mouse” (chores), “daisy-picking” (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts & safetyobjectives.\n\nValid Driver’s License issued in the United States\n\nNo clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access.
