The M&R Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of Non-Tactical Vehicle Equipment (NTVE), Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Ordnance Handling Equipment (OHE). The position involves overseeing mechanics and technicians, planning maintenance schedules, and ensuring high-quality repairs in compliance with operational standards.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSupervising maintenance and repair activities on NTVE, WHE, MHE, and OHE to maintain operational readiness and equipment reliability.\nEnsuring all maintenance and repair work adheres to manufacturer specifications and recommendations.\nPlanning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.\nDiagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues, troubleshooting malfunctions, and determining the most effective repair methods.\nLeading a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance supervision to ensure safety and efficiency.\nMonitoring the repair and maintenance workflow, assigning resources to priority tasks, and addressing delays or challenges that arise.\nMaintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance in compliance with documentation requirements.\nEnforcing compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.\nConducting inspections of vehicles and equipment to confirm proper repair quality and operational readiness.\nManaging inventory levels for tools, consumables, and spare parts with the goal of efficient stock control and timely replenishment.\nCollaborating with other supervisors and departments to coordinate support for mission-critical projects and operations.\nRequired to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\nTwo (2) years of journeyman-level experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, preferably involving NTVE, WHE, MHE, or OHE.\nStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with maintenance practices, tools, and technologies used in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.\nProven ability to lead and supervise repair teams in achieving operational goals while maintaining a safe and compliant workspace.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to accurately interpret manufacturer manuals, specifications, schematics, and repair documentation.\nExceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple repair tasks and adjust priorities as needed.\nMust be able to speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year at the time of hire.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain readiness for the duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertification or technical training in automotive or equipment repair.\nPrevious experience managing or supervising maintenance teams in military, government, or industrial environments.\nFamiliarity with equipment safety regulations and compliance standards in high-demand environments.\nExperience working in austere OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) environments or remote operational facilities.\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams toward achieving objectives.\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
