As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.\nWe are looking for a Manufacturing Technical Manager - Structural Engineering Division (ES) to join our team. Do you have the following skills?\nAs the Manufacturing Technical Manager - Structural Engineering\nDivision you will:\nAssist NASA ES Management with direct daily activities of approximately 20+ employees in multiple JSC Manufacturing and Precision Clean Room facilities consisting of Technicians, Operators, and Work Control Centers. \nDevelop procedures and guidelines along side NASA ES as well as implement policies that will strengthen manufacturing and cleaning operations. Establish, maintain, and audit QMS frameworks compliant with standards like ISO 9001, AS9100.\nWork with NASA ES Branch Management leading our production operations directly from the shop floor, working side-by-side with Technicians and Operators, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and high performance. The ideal candidate thrives in our fast-paced environment while maintaining \"boots-on-the-ground\" leadership.\nProvide engineering and technical support to ensure manufacturing and clean room facilities are maintained and ready for use through maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS), and drives a continuous improvement culture to reduce defects, eliminate waste, and optimize operational performance.\nManage, forecast, and coordinate resources needed to support all ES deliverables in various facilities and work areas that exceeds the expectations of our customers\nInterface with senior management to identify and report support needs, cost, schedule, and risks.\nResponsible for managing resources effectively within NASA ES budgetary and time constraints and contributing to the overall success of the company by providing a motivated and productive team.\nWork with NASA ES Division to develop Annual Task Order and Budget Cost Models for manufacturing and clean room resources as required.\nResponsible for the safety of the employees in the operational areas and provides oversight for compliance with HSE requirements and company policies.\nLeads and champions innovation thinking and continuous improvement efforts for cost savings and lead time improvements.\nProvide personnel management to include hiring and onboarding, review and approval of timecards, leave requests, training certifications, annual performance appraisal, regular section meetings, and employee recognition through awards.\nProvide employee counseling and comply with EEO/AA programs.\nEnsure the Union CBA Contract is adhered to and followed by all Technicians in JF23.\nRequisition Qualifications\nThis position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.\nTypically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.\nMinimum of five (5) years in a management or supervisory role in manufacturing, engineering, or technical field.\nDemonstrated leadership experience in facility and manufacturing operations management.\nMust be able to operate independently in accordance with directed prioritization\nStrong communication skills to include gathering of information and creation and delivery of presentations to customers and internal management\nThorough understanding and broad application of occupational safety and health regulations, standards, principles, theories, and techniques\nHigh organizational skills with the ability to track multiple directives\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills\nCompetent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nThis position requires a full-time on-location presence at JSC\nRequisition Preferences:\nBS degree in engineering or a technical field from an accredited engineering school with a minimum of ten (10) years of direct engineering, manufacturing, and technical experience.\nFamiliarization with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.\nSpaceflight hardware experience strongly preferred\nFamiliarity with facility management, reporting and work order tools used by JSC facilities\nCompensation:\nSalary starts at $83,700.
