Mechanical Engineering degree will be accepted if there is a background in structural analysis or naval architecture.\nExperience in the assessment, repair, and maintenance of structure on US Naval ships. Minimum of three (3) years specialized hands-on experience working and inspecting ship structures, material, knowledge of welding and preservation of systems.\nMust have three (3) years general experience performing structural analysis and load requirements to comply with Navy standards.\nSpecialized and General experience can be concurrent but must be recent within three (3) years.\nMust be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. If individual does not have clearance yet, during the hiring process, they must attain INTERIM Secret by DAY ONE.\nMay require less than 10% travel.\nPhysical Demands and Expectations:\nRegular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.\nManeuvering and climbing ladders in tight spaces in a shipboard environment\nAbility to speak, read, hear, and write, English with or without assistance.\nPreferred Qualifications (not required):\nNaval Architect with shipyard background.\nCompensation Details:\n$80,000 - $89,700The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
