The Material Expeditor will coordinate and expedite the flow of material for the General Services Administration (GSA) Global Supply OCONUS Logistics Operations Solutions Support in the Indo-Pacific Command’s (INDO-PACOM) Japan Area of Operation (AOR).\nThis role involves coordinating with supply chain, various stakeholders, and ensuring efficient and compliant operations to meet GSA’s contract requirements. This position will be responsible for conferring with management, making decisions, and managing work requirements and reports in an environment that requires flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.\nPosition Responsibilities:\n· Locates and expedites material, according to orders, schedules, and priorities, and keeps related records, reviews production schedules inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material and priorities of customer orders.\n· Confers with supervisors to determine materials overdue and to informs of location, availability, and condition of materials, locates and moves materials to specified production areas, using cart or hand truck, and records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand.\n· Compares order and receipt specifications with materials, prepares order production records, and updates and maintains inventory records, using computer terminal.\n· Establishes delivery sequences to the sites according to requisition priorities, required delivery dates, and anticipated availability of material; arranging for distribution of material.\n· Applies knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to ensure adequate purchasing of to maintain consistent inventory levels.\n· Compiles regular and recurring reports to assure real-time status of inventory are available.\nRequired Qualifications:\nThree (3) years’ experience in an Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) environment.\nKnowledge of principles and processes involved in supply chain and logistics.\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nExpected Skills and Competencies:\nGood organizational, time management, and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.\nCross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.\nComputer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.\nAbility to become an active and functioning member of a team.\nMust have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.\nExpert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.\nSatisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.\nExperience working with CRM Business Systems, material requisition and ordering systems. \nPreferred:\nKnowledge in operations and maintenance projects in an international environment.\nPrevious experience in an OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce and/or previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions.\nFamiliarity with military supply chain and distribution operations and standards.\nFamiliarity with GSA, AbilityOne, and Trade Agreements Act (TAA).\nKnowledge and experience in demand analysis, forecasting, and inventory management.\nPhysical and/or Other Requirements:\nWilling and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in austere conditions\nCandidate must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 12 months remaining to expiration date.\nValid Driver’s License from Home of Record with ability to obtain Japanese Driver’s License.\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
