The Material Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of materials, tools, and supplies required for operational support. This role involves coordinating with procurement, warehousing, and project teams to ensure all materials and equipment are available to meet project deadlines. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nJob Responsibilities:\nCoordinating and expediting the flow of materials, tools, and supplies within or between departments.\nTracking shipments and deliveries to ensure all necessary supplies are received on schedule.\nVerifying material requests and ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational requirements.\nCommunicating effectively with suppliers, vendors, and team members to address delays or material shortages.\nMaintaining and updating inventory records and procurement systems to reflect current material status.\nInspecting shipments to verify the condition and accuracy of received goods, ensuring compliance with order specifications.\nIdentifying and reporting damaged or defective materials to supervisors and ensuring prompt resolution.\nWorking closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure proper handling and storage of materials.\nPreparing reports and documentation on material usage, delivery timelines, and inventory levels.\nMonitoring and improving material expediting processes to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to contractual requirements.\nEnsuring compliance with organizational, safety, and environmental standards for materials handling and distribution.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\nTwo (2) years of experience in material handling, expediting, or supply chain operations.\nFamiliarity with logistics and supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory management, and warehousing.\nAbility to track, manage, and report on the status of materials and supplies in a fast-paced environment.\nProficiency in using inventory tracking software, databases, or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nStrong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and vendors.\nDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.\nPassport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year at the time of hire.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully meet contract medical requirements and maintain physical readiness for the duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications or advanced training in logistics, supply chain management, or material expediting.\nPrevious experience in a government or military supply chain or logistics operation.\nFamiliarity with policies and operational procedures related to material management and military or government-contracting environments.\nPrior experience working in remote OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) or austere environments.\nExperience with hazardous material (HAZMAT) handling and associated safety regulations.\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
