If you are looking for a relaxed, community focused lifestyle, work/life balance, a Company that invests in maintaining and developing you and your career, and to work with an exceptional group of friendly, talented people we encourage you to join our team.\nThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the independent selection, evaluation, and application of relevant engineering knowledge, techniques and procedures in support of the safe and effective operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsibilities/Duties\nPerform technical studies, analyses, investigations and consultations.\nIdentify, define and develop detailed requirements for facility infrastructure, equipment and system modification, replacement, upgrade and/or recapitalization.\nDesign and/or develop solutions for a variety of technical problems of moderate to extreme scope and complexity across the mechanical engineering discipline.\nReview and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and system changes, from general concepts through to detailed IFC designs.\nPerform engineering calculations in support of facility infrastructure operation and design.\nProvide technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cycle management and costing.\nDevelopment of ROM costing estimates in support of facility infrastructure, equipment and system modification, upgrade, replacement and/or recapitalization.\nEvaluate operational systems, equipment, processes and infrastructure in support of general and targeted optimization and improvement initiatives.\nEnsure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace.\nAny other reasonable duties as requested\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum Essential\nUndergraduate Degree\nField: Mechanical Engineering or other relevant or related discipline Desirable\nDesirable\nPost Graduate Qualifications\nField: Any relevant or related discipline\nTICKETS AND LICENSES\nMinimum Essential\nDriver’s License\nDesirable\nPE/CPEng certification\nExperience and Skills - Minimum Essential\nFamiliarity with HVAC and hydronic systems, data centre cooling systems, building management and control systems.\nMinimum one year of experience with building management and control systems, building management and control systems and facilities operation and maintenance required.\nExperience with project management and leadership desired.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS\nTypical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT\nIt is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
