The Network and Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for supporting Information Assurance (IA) activities, coordinating Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts, and implementing cybersecurity best practices throughout the system lifecycle. Working closely with Government stakeholders and engineering teams, this position ensures systems are securely deployed, maintained, and operated in accordance with ICD 503, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and customer security requirements while supporting mission-critical operations. Experience writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical and training manuals or similar documentation, including documents required for A&A IAW ICD 503, is required. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nSupport cybersecurity engineering and IA activities for WIDS deployments.\nCoordinate A&A and ATO efforts in accordance with ICD 503 and Government requirements.\nDevelop, review, and maintain accreditation documentation, security plans, and technical procedures.\nCoordinate with engineering teams to implement secure system configurations and cybersecurity controls.\nSupport vulnerability assessments, security compliance reviews, and risk mitigation activities.\nAssist with system hardening, patch management, and configuration management.\nProvide technical guidance on cybersecurity requirements throughout system deployment and sustainment.\nSupport Government customers during security reviews, audits, and accreditation activities.\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Office Setting, but may be required to install sensors and wiring, which requires climbing ladders and lifting up to 20 lbs.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nExperience supporting Information Assurance or cybersecurity activities within DoD and/or Intelligence Community environments.\nKnowledge of RMF, ICD 503, A&A, and ATO processes.\nExperience developing technical documentation and security accreditation artifacts.\nUnderstanding of secure system engineering principles and cybersecurity best practices.\nStrong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.\nAbility to coordinate across engineering teams and Government stakeholders.\nAbility to travel worldwide.\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nTS/SCI with Poly\nMinimum Education:\nBachelor’s Degree\nMinimum Years of Experience:\nBachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience; Master's Degree with 3-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum of five (5) years supporting cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or systems engineering efforts for classified Government programs.\nThis position is not designated as a safety-sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
