Will monitor to proactively protect against any emerging threats while maintaining current knowledge and training to consistency provide Program security to data and systems. NSO will perform other duties as assigned by Program leadership.\nThe NSO will be available for on-call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in computer science / engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent combination of experience, education and training\nWill perform duties per SECNAV M-5239.2\nMust have three years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the military or a government installation.\nMust have Security + / CISM / CISSP\nMust be familiar with current global, US, Program and PWS requirements\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring\nAbility to successfully pass the medical contract requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas as required by the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide\nWORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nAble to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies\nAble to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds\nLiving and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable\nMay work in a typical office environment\nThis position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in offices, industrial warehouses, ports, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
