The NGIS Housekeeper is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of Navy Gateway Inns and Suites facilities in accordance with established standards. This position requires proper training and certification, attention to detail, and adherence to operational guidelines.\nJob Responsibilities:\nCleaning guest rooms, common areas, and other NGIS facilities according to the most current Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.\nPerforming a variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.\nRestocking room amenities such as linens, toiletries, and supplies, ensuring a consistent guest experience.\nMonitoring and identifying areas requiring special attention or additional deep cleaning.\nMaintaining certification from a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer to demonstrate proficiency in all housekeeping standards.\nStaying up to date with training requirements and operational standards to meet the most current NGIS housekeeping guidelines.\nAdhering to procedures for housekeeping in compliance with Navy standards and safety protocols to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.\nReporting maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages promptly to supervisors for resolution.\nMaintaining a professional demeanor and providing courteous service when interacting with guests or coworkers.\nProperly using and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies in accordance with training guidelines.\nInforming supervisors of low supply levels or equipment issues to prevent disruptions in operation.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCertification as a NGIS Housekeeper, obtained through training by a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer.\nKnowledge of and adherence to housekeeping standards outlined in the Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.\nStrong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.\nAbility to follow standard operating procedures and instructions for cleaning tasks and safety protocols.\nStrong time management and organizational skills to complete required cleaning duties efficiently.\nBasic communication skills to report issues, interact with guests, and communicate effectively with team members.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. \nMust be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience in housekeeping, custodial services, or a hospitality environment, particularly in a hotel or similar setting.\nFamiliarity with Navy or Department of Defense lodging standards and protocols.\nKnowledge of handling and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools.\nExperience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce.\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
