We are currently seeking a Nuclear Licensing Engineer to support various projects out of Aiken, SC.\nDevelop and review licensing documents to include developing licensing content to support licensing applications, portions of Safety Analysis Reports, certifications, permits, approvals, regulatory reports, and license renewal applications depending upon customer’s needs.\n\nCoordinate with Engineering teams to support the development and submittal of licensing documentations. Collaboration is required to ensure federal, state, and local requirements are being met either through design or safety analysis. Ensure design will comply with regulations and guidance.\n\nMonitor changes to nuclear regulations and assess their impact on operations and licensing.\n\nTeach and mentor more junior team members.\n\nParticipate in assessments, audits, and inspections as either an assessor or supporting the company being assessed.\n\nMaintain records and documentation in accordance with Amentum’s Quality Assurance policy.\n\nPerform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBS/BA in engineering or equivalent technical discipline and 4 years of relevant work experience\n\nMS/MA in engineering or equivalent technical discipline and 2 years of relevant work experience\n\nWorking knowledge of 10 CFR50 or 10 CRF70 and other regulations and guidance\n\nAbility to support remote work with a high degree of integrity and dedication\n\nGood communication and analytical skills; knowledgeable about Microsoft Office applications.\n\nThe Engineer must have demonstrated experience in preparing licensing documents to support regulatory compliance for nuclear facilities\n\nThe position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must be a US Citizen; dual Citizenship is not permitted.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with nuclear facility operations and safety analyses.\n\nExperience interacting with regulatory agencies.\n\nCapability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards\n\nDeveloping and maintaining effective collaboration with design engineers, nuclear safety engineers, operations personnel, supporting organization, subcontractor personnel, and NRC oversight personnel.\n\nProviding support and input, including requirements management, to identify and implement improvements to current procedures and processes, performing programmatic assessments, and conducting training, as required.\n\nFrequently working with other organizations, tracking, and reporting status, and ensuring projects meet schedule commitments.\n\nCompensation Details:\n$110,00+The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
