to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.\nJob Responsibilities:\nManage the daily operations and maintenance of water treatment plants (WTP) and distribution systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including CNIC M-5090.1A.\nPerform operational duties to ensure water quality standards are met and systems operate efficiently and effectively.\nSupervise and coordinate the activities of certified plant operators and technicians.\nMaintain a current and valid Level III Treatment and Level III Distribution operator certification and comply with professional development requirements to retain certification.\nConduct regular inspections and testing of water systems and ensure compliance with required operational and safety standards.\nRespond to and troubleshoot operational issues, identifying and resolving problems to minimize system downtime.\nMaintain accurate operational, maintenance, and performance records for water treatment plants and distribution systems.\nManage water testing and reporting, ensuring results meet quality assurance and regulatory standards.\nEffectively communicate with internal staff and stakeholders, demonstrating proficiency in both verbal and written English.\nEnsure approved designated temporary replacements are provided to maintain consistent operations during periods of absence for vacation or business trips, as required.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCertified Level III Treatment and Level III Distribution operator certification.\nDemonstrated education, training, and practical experience in the operations and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems.\n1-3 years of relevant experience in managing water treatment, distribution systems, or similar plants.\nProficiency in verbal and written English language.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.\nEmployees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\n\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\n\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\n\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.\n\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.\nValid country driver’s license and passport.\nCountry visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).\nStrong knowledge of CNIC M-5090.1A standards and compliance requirements.\nExperience leading and managing a team of certified operators to successfully handle operational tasks with efficiency and safety.\nProficiency in performing water quality testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and addressing complex system issues in water treatment plants.\nStrong organizational, Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
