This includes, but is not limited to, staff meetings, performance appraisals, job requirements, division metrics, projects, Quality Standard Procedures, and safety practices.\n\nCommunicates via two-way radioin accordance withprescribed procedures and proper radio etiquette.\n\nReviews and updates departmental procedures.\n\nResponsible formaintaininga safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.\n\nPerforms other duties asrequired.\n\nRequired Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:\nHigh School diploma orGED\n\nA minimum of four years administrative experience, preferably in Antarctic Terminal Operations or a comparable position.\n\nAt least oneof the fouryears’ experience must have been in a supervisory role.\n\nExpected Skills and Competencies:\nAdvanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Excel, Outlook)\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\n\nPreferred:\nBS/BA degree preferred.\n\nProficiencywith widely distributed travel or transportation databases used to track passenger movements.\n\nPhysical and/or Other Requirements:\nWillingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods\n\nSuccessful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica\n\nSuccessful completion of drug screening and background check required by employer\n\nSuccessful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF\n\nMust be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum as required by the position.\n\nMust be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.\n\nMustparticipatein community programs, such as “house-mouse” (chores), “daisy-picking” (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts & safetyobjectives.\n\nValid Driver’s License issued in the United States\n\nNo clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access. (includes NACI / T1, MRPT, CAC): Must be able to obtain andmaintainfacility credentials/authorization.
