You need strong drafting skills, and you must be familiar with all of the regulations that govern industry.You should have several years of experience in construction or 3D modeling. We also prefer that you have a Professional Piping Designer Certification.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nDraft a 3D model in a CAD software\nWork with engineers to ensure your design is sound.\nOften responsible for 3D piping and equipment models of entire projects. Optimizes piping design with some supervision.\nOften provides verbal input during model reviews.\nDrafts P&ID redlines, adds redlines to already developed P&IDs. Develops high level \"from scratch\" P&IDs.\nSelf-sufficient in generating project deliverables (isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, MTO's) and reviews prior to submitting for checking.\nHas a basic level of understanding of pipe specifications and materials through knowledge of ASTM and ASME codes and standards.\nHas a basic level of understanding of ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8.\nUnder supervision, generates project piping estimates for review with management.\nTracks schedule and budget during the duration of a project and anticipates manpower overage or underage.\nTracks project scope changes and initiates change orders to management\nRequired Experience\n6 years of construction or 3D modeling experience\nSkills with CAD software\nAnalytical problem-solving skills\nProficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages.\nOperational knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs.\nAutoCAD 3D design, Autocad Plant 3d a plus.\nClient projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship\nPhysical Requirements\nRequires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.\nBe able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted.\nMay be required to lift up to 20 lbs.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMeets expectations for attendance and punctuality.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nAdditional Information\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.\nCompensation & Benefits\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $40hr - $52hr (Hourly) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)\nThis position includes a competitive benefits package.
