This position ensures timely acquisition of good and services required to meet operational, programmatic , and contractual requirements while maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nReviews and processes purchase requisitions.\nProvides information to requester that includes communication of procurement actions or status and assist with special requirements.\nAdheres to Supply Chain Procurement procedures to assure certain acquisition purchase requisitions are routed through Main Base Supply.\nAssists in the preparation of procurement centered reports.\nContacts suppliers, secures bids and prepares admin forms and documents.\nWork with vendors to ensure prompt delivery of products for stock and to satisfy immediate customer demands.\nEnsures compliance with FAR/DFARS and Agency-specific regulations. Confer with suppliers concerning late deliveries.\nSupports the goals and objectives of the company as a part of a work group or team member.\nNegotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments and cancellations.\nAddress complaints and resolve problems.\nProvides input to overall procurement strategy and supports the development of new capable suppliers.\nMonitors performance to procurement goals and objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.\nAssist warehouse personnel with processing re-supply purchase requisitions.\nPerform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.\nMinimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\nStrong communication (written and oral)\nProblem-solving and research skills\nBudget planning and cost analysis\nDetail-oriented, organized, and adaptable\n3+ years of purchasing experience, including government contracts and FAR compliance.\nExpertise in supply chain management, logistics, and vendor negotiations.\nExperience in MS Office, MAXIMO, Cost Point, and PeopleSoft systems.\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.\nMust have at least two years of experience in subcontracts, procurement, supply chain or related field.\nMust be proficient in basic office software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.\nMust have excellent oral and written communication skills.\nMust possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a general-purpose government vehicle.\nMust be authorized to work in host country.\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:\nOCONUS: Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.\n\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally.\n\nWorks in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.\n\nWill be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.\n\nPhysically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.\n\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
