The PM oversees all contractual, management, technical, operational, logistics, and reporting requirements defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), ensuring aircraft mission readiness, schedule adherence, and full regulatory compliance across multiple domestic and OCONUS Main Operating Bases (MOBs).\nThe PM is the primary interface with the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Utility Lift IPT, and government site Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs), ensuring transparent communication, timely reporting, and continuous performance improvement.\nAs the PM, you will manage the effort for operating and maintaining the fleet of aircraft, aircraft subsystems, and support equipment. The Program Manager will develop and maintain systems to oversee all aircraft maintenance and personnel, materials and inspections, launch and recovery of the aircraft, supply of all Contractor owned spares and support equipment through a Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP); repair and overhaul of all repairable spares at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair stations; maintenance and repair of all support equipment; aircraft paint; engine repair and overhaul.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead Overall Program Execution\n\nEnsure all contract, maintenance, logistics, and operational requirements for the UC-12 fleet are carried out correctly and on schedule.\nServe as Primary Government Interface\n\nAct as the main point of contact for the PCO, COR, IPT, and site TPOCs. Participate in required meetings and provide updates regularly.\nManage Personnel & Key Staff\n\nEnsure all required positions are staffed, certified, and compliant with FAA, Navy, and PWS requirements. Oversee site leads and A&P-certified mechanics.\nOversee Performance Metrics\n\nMonitor and ensure aircraft Mission Capable rates, maintenance turnaround times, and logistics responsiveness meet contract performance standards.\nDirect Quality & Airworthiness Compliance\n\nMaintain a compliant Quality Assurance Program, ensure proper maintenance documentation, and enforce FAA/NAVAIR standards for airworthiness.\nManage Logistics & Property\n\nOversee aircraft parts, support equipment, inventory accuracy, freight forwarding, hazardous material handling, and GFP accountability.\nCoordinate Depot-Level & Engineering Activities\n\nSupport depot repairs, ACIs, engine/propeller overhauls, technical directives, and engineering investigations or modifications.\nEnsure Accurate Reporting & Data Management\n\nDeliver all required CDRLs, maintain WIS accuracy, and submit mission capability, aircraft status, safety, funds status, and configuration reports.\nLead Transition-In & Transition-Out\n\nManage personnel onboarding, inventories, audits, and turnover activities during contract start-up and close-out.\nManage Risk & Program Improvements\n\nIdentify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance, logistics, and operational processes.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nAssisting in the growth of Amentum's revenue in Navy/Marine Corps Aviation sector.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum 10 years of experience managing DoD aviation maintenance or CLS programs.\n\n10 or more years managing multiple-site aircraft maintenance programs\n\nDemonstrated experience with FAA Part 23/43/145 requirements and commercial derivative aircraft.\n\nStrong understanding of Navy/USMC aircraft maintenance programs (NAMP 4790.2E).Demonstrated ability to manage large technical teams, subcontractors, OEM stakeholders, and international personnel.\n\nExperience with risk management, quality systems, CDRLs, and government technical reporting.\n\n5 or more years directly management of aircraft maintenance operations\n\nNavy or Marine Corps Military Service\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance.\n\nAbility to travel CONUS and OCONUS worldwide as required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience on UC-12, King Air 200/300/350 aircraft or PT6A-series engines.\n\nFamiliarity with NAVAIR, PMA-207, and Utility Lift IPT practices.\n\nExperience in configuration management (SAE/EIA-649), cybersecurity (DFARS 252.204-7012), and CUI/NIST 800-171 compliance.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.\n\nCompensation Range $165K - $225K\nCompensation Details:\n165000 - 225000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
