The role assists senior project controls staff and project managers in implementing project controls standards within secure and dynamic environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Controls Support\nAssist with developing and maintaining project schedules, cost trackers, and reporting tools across engineering and construction projects.\nCompile and validate data for schedule updates, earned value reporting, and budget performance reviews.\nSupport baseline creation by gathering scope, schedule, and cost data and ensuring alignment with project requirements.\nEstablish and maintain a regular cadence with project teams and stakeholder groups to provide ongoing support, gather requirements, and ensure consistent communication across programs.\nSchedule, Baseline & Change Tracking\nUpdate and maintain schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, and/or similar systems under the guidance of senior schedulers.\nRun basic schedule analytics, including logic checks, critical path reviews, and variance summaries.\nSupport the change control process by preparing documentation, assessing preliminary schedule or cost implications, and tracking approved changes.\nBudgeting, Cost Controls & Forecasting\nMaintain project cost logs, monitor actuals, and assist with forecast updates.\nPrepare monthly cost reports, variance explanations, and trend analyses for internal reviews.\nAssist in identifying potential cost risks or deviations and escalate concerns to senior project controls staff and project managers.\nStakeholder Collaboration & Reporting\nPrepare routine reporting packages including schedule updates, cost summaries, and performance dashboards.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to gather required data and validate accuracy.\nSupport proposal activities by helping compile early schedule inputs and cost estimate data when needed.\nPosition Requirements\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; active clearance preferred.\n Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or a related field.\n1-3 years of experience in project controls, project management, financial analysis, or a related discipline.\nFamiliarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project.\nBasic understanding of budgeting, cost tracking, and project lifecycle concepts.\nStrong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and other financial analysis tools.\nAbility to attend on-site meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide support, and maintain effective communication.\nAbility to work in secure or classified environments and follow federal program compliance requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to federal government, construction, or engineering project environments.\nUnderstanding of earned value management (EVM) concepts.\nExperience with data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI, TrackVia, etc.).\nInterest in pursuing certifications such as PMP, AACE, or other project controls credentials.\nSalary Range $100,000 - $115,000\nCompensation Details:\nSalaryThe compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
