As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer t o join the team with HX5, a teammate company!\nThe Project Engineer will:\nProvide design and test support in various aspects of development in support of the EVA Portable Light project.\nSupport project teams with development of test procedures and verification and validation processes\nPerform testing and verification of flight hardware\nMaintain and ensure baseline test configurations and document any configuration changes\nGenerate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed\nWork in a collaborative, team environment and report to project managers for technical support, task assignments, and processes\nPlan and execute hardware troubleshooting to investigate mechanical and electrical failures within hardware or test support hardware\nPerform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions\nWork with technicians to build and test designed systems\nPerform other duties as required\nRequisition Qualifications:\nThis position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.\nTypically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.\nBS degree in an engineering field from an accredited engineering school\nAbility to work autonomously when required\nSelf-motivated, team player with adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required\nAbility to operate in a laboratory environment and perform necessary troubleshooting tasks\nAbility to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office products\nMust have the ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team\nRequisition Preferences:\nExperience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space hardware\nExperience with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle, Certification, and Engineering processes\nPrior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis. • Experience with procedure development\nFamiliarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process\nPrior experience working and coordinating requirements with third party/outside Vendors • Familiarity with NASA Quality operational procedures and require\nCompensation:\nSalary starts at $83,700.
