To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.\nIn both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.\nWorking on Sizewell C as a Project Manager you will develop the skills and core nuclear understanding to be successful in the New Nuclear industry. You’ll be positioned to benefit from the near and long-term trend for Nuclear power providing the baseload to global energy needs. As a new Business Unit, you’ll be joining at a time of innovation and change, with opportunity to put your mark on the business and for this contribution to be recognised.\nThe Civil Works Programme comprises a series of projects that will be delivered over a 10-year period. Each element of the scope has been assigned to a combination of participants that will be responsible and accountable for the delivery. Key responsibilities will be:\nTake a global overview of the nuclear power plant Systems, Structures and Components (SSCs) within their programme.\nTimely delivery of engineering studies by the RD or by key contractors and for ensuring they meet the needs of the SZC project.\nPrepare with the multidisciplinary team specific post-FID contracts (terms & conditions, contractual appendices and technical specification).\nDrive the implementation of site-specific design changes into the design deliverables in their programme.\nManage internal interfaces (between contracts and systems) and external interfaces (between programme scopes) to ensure a coordinated approach to design and delivery.\nEarly engagement with stakeholders (including equipment suppliers) to identify obsolescence issues and other risks to replication.\nManage the technical elements of the procurement process for specific contracts.\nEnsure that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual.\nHere's What You'll Need\nDegree and Chartered status in Project management, Construction, Civil engineering, or other relevant discipline.\nDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Project Management and working knowledge and management experience of construction activities.\nExperience of managing major projects from concept to handover, throughout the project lifecycle within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security, and environmental responsibility.\nSuccess coordinating multi-disciplinary design/procurement work and driving design/procurement teams to deliver on time\nBackground in mechanical, electrical, process, systems or civil engineering for large industrial plants\nProcurement and management of complex contracts,\nControl of costs; risk; schedule and change and proficient in the use of Earned Value tools,\nProject management or project engineering experience, from concept to handover\nClose out of commercial claims and the associated negotiations.\nOur Culture\nOur values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
