This is the lead QEHS role at a designated site and is responsible for oversight of all quality, environmental and safety activities. Will lead and direct the QEHS staff in conducting product quality inspections. Reviews and monitors the Amentum Quality Control Program (QCP) at the site ensuring QC Inspectors maintain standards IAW the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Technical Orders/Manuals and ISO Standards. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), OSHA 1910 and Amentum ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).\nEssential Responsibilities:\nCollects, processes, and reviews data from the EHS reporting system to capture safety, health and environmental statistics for tracking metrics, and the creation of standard reports and presentations required for internal and external reporting purposes.\nTracks and records injuries to create reports/deliverables for submittal to the government.\nOversees and maintains the assigned program EHS and Quality SharePoint library and key documentation for compliance purposes and proposals.\nCoordinates and monitors EHS training requirements for personnel, including technical and professional certifications.\nPerforms daily data entry from field Quality inspection and audit processes, while providing the front-line review of provided information to ensure data quality meets program requirements.\nEnsures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.\nInstills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.\nAdheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.\nCoordinates the Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Department and its Auditors/inspectors to ensure successful and effective completion of required audits IAW Internal Audit procedure and industry standards.\nDisseminates information and quality documentation, including Contractor Officer Representative (COR) out-briefs and Quality directives.\nProvides guidance and advice to the Site Manager on significant changes to the quality management system that have a direct impact on site operations.\nFacilitates Root Cause analysis discovery for site level NCRs and ensure corrective action and preventive action are acceptable and validates NCRs prior to input in QMS.\nTracks, monitors and controls site inputs into the quality system ensuring compliance with QMS.\nProvides continuous development training to site level Internal Auditors.\nProvides oversight of SIF/QCIF program ensuring that site personnel are correctly managing these quality processes.\nProcesses, evaluates, and submits on time, completed Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Preventative Action Request (PARs), Self-Inspections and audit reports to PMQ.\nProfessionally liaises with USAF CORs and assist them with Quality issues.\nPrepares reports and generates metrics as necessary to understand and communicate site compliance of QMS.\nPerforms other tasks and duties as appropriate: to include attendance at Site Manager Staff Meeting, preparation of personnel performance reports, and any other tasks that may be assigned by Quality Manager.\nProvides supervision, direction and training to all QC Inspectors under their supervision.\nEnsures the completion of maintenance forms such as work orders, parts request sheets and maintenance sheets and trains others in the proper documentation procedures.\nEnsures safety practices and housekeeping are maintained to the highest standard.\nChecks repairs to ensure the highest quality repair standards are met.\nCheck to make sure that only current up-to-date Technical Orders and commercial manuals are used when repairing items.\nPerforms random In-Process and Final Product inspections on Production, Inspection, and Maintenance operations.\nRandomly reviews production and inspection schedules, work orders and historical records to ensure accuracy and timely completion.\nPerforms random inspections on tools, shop equipment, safety equipment and protective clothing.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\nBachelor of Science degree preferred.\nMust successfully pass Lead Auditor course if not already achieved prior to hire.\nMust have five years’ experience in quality, environmental, health and safety fields with auditing experience.\nMust have five years’ experience in an engineering, maintenance or logistics discipline.\nMust be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.\nMust understand ISO concepts and requirements,\nAbility to assess policies, procedures, and processes for compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards is essential.\nDemonstrated ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel required.\nAbility to research technical data and to interpret drawings, technical manuals, and directives required.\nAbility to interpret and implement procedures for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Standards is essential.\nMust be able to produce clear, concise written reports (findings and recommendations) in English.\nFamiliarity with OSHA/AFOSH standards and industrial safety practices required.\nMust have good organizational and communication skills, particularly in dealing with subordinates.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel internationally.\nMust have authorization to work in host country.\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:\nOCONUS: Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally.\nWork could be in an office, maintenance shop, or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.\nPotentially prolonged sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.\nMust possess planning/organizing skills and be able to work under deadlines.\nWill be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.\nPhysically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
