We’re happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business.\nAbout the Role\nTo provide Quantity Surveying support across a range of projects delivered from our Humber office, ensuring robust cost management, contract administration, and commercial governance. As a Quantity Surveyor, you would be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Project Management teams in delivering effective Contract Management and maintaining relationships with Clients, Contractors/Subcontractors, Suppliers or Service Providers for the relevant contracts.\nThis would include the administration of the contract Risk Register, attending Risk Reduction and other meetings, managing the Early Warning Notice and Compensation Event processes and contract administration through various applications (CEMAR / FastDraft / Digital Beehive).\nAll contracts will be managed in accordance with Amentum Management System and procedures for contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to procedures and Contract Terms and Conditions to secure delivery with certainty.\nKey Responsibilities:\nA high emphasis on change management\n\nSupport cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting activities across a variety of utilities / infrastructure projects.\n\nAdminister contracts (typically NEC3/4 with a number of bespoke client contracts) including change control, payment applications, and final accounts.\n\nSupport procurement and tendering processes with accurate cost data and commercial input.\n\nMonitor and report on project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.\n\nEngage with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure commercial alignment.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned in cost and contract management.\n\nHere’s What You’ll Need\nDegree level qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience in commercial /contract management\n\nSome previous Quantity Surveying or Commercial Contract Management work experience.\n\nWorking knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally with some exposure to the NEC suite of contracts.\n\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail.\n\nAbility to communicate confidently and work well under pressure\n\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.\n\nMust be proficient in MS Office applications - especially MS Excel.\n\nDesirable Skills & Experience\nExperience in utilities / infrastructure sector.\n\nKnowledge of sustainability and social value in commercial delivery.\n\nProficiency in cost management tools and digital systems.\n\nExperience of using CEMAR / FastDraft or similar\n\nExperience managing change control on construction contracts.\n\nOur Culture\nOur values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
