To learn more, clickhere\nThe candidate will provide Radio Frequency (RF) Analysis, Simulation, and Development support for space-based RF communication systems with inter-operability integration across multiple US Government Customers. This position will require active security clearance to perform daily tasks. Support customer’s Moon Base Utilities and Infrastructure Group, Deep Space Communications Network, and future RF infrastructures.\nThe successful candidate will perform tasks such as:\nProvide analyses of existing transmitters, receivers, and antenna designs.\n\nParticipate in requirements and data reviews providing inputs and comments.\n\nSupport test campaigns in the internal and external laboratories.\n\nSupport and generate RF subsystem trade studies.\n\nPerform link margin analyses using various modulation protocols and environmental influences.\n\nWrite or collaborate communication system design and analyses reports.\n\nProject milestone reviews for customers and stakeholders.\n\nProject technical interchange, planning, review, and other appropriate meetings required to maintain current knowledge base of design, requirements, issues, action items, and resolution activities.\n\nPerform radio frequency interference/radio frequency compatibility analyses.\n\nOrganizational management reviews.\n\nMentor early-career and internship engineers.\n\nShould be proficient in the following:\nVisual Basic, MathCAD and/or MatLab, ANSYS High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), GPS/GNSS Simulators, and PNT / Communication Waveform Analyzers (BPSK, QAM, QPSK)\nMust be a US Citizen and currently have an active or can obtain US Security Clearance.\nEducation requirements:\nA degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university and 15 or more years of experience in Antenna and RF systems design, test, and evaluation.\nPh.D., with minimum of 4 years of experience,\n\nMS with at least 8 years of experience, or\n\nBS with at least 10-15 years of experience.\n\nEssential Functions\nWork Environment:\nOffice environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (5%). Requires ability to work at a computer for long periods of time (100%).\nPhysical Requirements:\nRequires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues (10%). Also, requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports and perform engineering tasks (80%).
